Since the commencement of the current administration, a total of 1,110 tourism-related projects have been brought to fruition, representing a total capital injection of 650 trillion rials (roughly $433 million). The sheer scale of ongoing development is further evidenced by the fact that over 3,000 additional tourism projects are currently under construction across the various provinces of the country. This pipeline of development suggests a long-term commitment to elevating the nation’s status as a premier destination for both domestic and international travellers.
A pivotal shift in administrative strategy was highlighted during the ceremony in Sarein. For the first time in the ministry’s history, the national inauguration ceremony for tourism projects was held outside the capital city of Tehran. This move was intentionally designed to reflect a new policy of decentralization.
