Home to J.C. Elverd, who was one of the British soldiers enticed to the town with the offer of GBP15 and ten acres of land, the cottage has been beautifully restored. Known as the Pensioner Guards who watched over convicts from Britain, the cottage is one of only a few Pensioner Guards homes still remaining.
Elverd Cottage forms part of the Kojonup Historical Town Walk which includes an amazing 52 significant sites around the town.
