We were only staying for 1 night before moving on towards Perth having driven from Adelaide. Loved the history of Albany and the coastal drive was beautiful as we headed north west. Certainly recommend some time being spent here to further explore the history and character of the city.

Albany is beautiful especially at this time of the year. Loads of nice restaurants and cafes to visit. Well stocked supermarkets for some self catering. Plenty of places to visit and explore. Wilson’s brewery was our favourite place to visit. We went twice 😃Also loved seeing the chainsaw sculpture drive.

I actually came to Albany for 3 days after working so many hours the previous 4 weeks and just wanted to get away. I also wanted to do the Anzac War museum tour which I did I spent 2 and a half hours there and I'm not sure I got it all done. I plan to come down again and re do the tour

There is a lot to see and do in Albany. Your first stop should be the Albany Visitors Centre which was more than helpful pointing out various places to go and things to see. Most shops are closed on a Sunday so be prepared.

Quirky old town with an auction room and couple of antique shops for perusal. Variety of restaurants and pubs though the prices are city rather than rural. The old whaling station and the brig 'Amity' are worth a visit and the nearby wind farm perched on the cliffs gives a wild and windy outlook. Two nights is enough before moving on.
